Post For 2012 When You Get a Vin#

I got word today that my car is on the train and will be in Mesquite, Texas on June 5th, and on spot in the Yard on June 6th. My salesman will pick it up at the yard and bring it to Ennis.

So it looks like Next Monday evening will be a very happy time.

It has everything but an engine block heater, its loaded.

My salesman called me and told me my car arrived in Atlanta yesterday!
Not sure when it will get on the truck to head to the dealers lot. But since I am headed out of town tomorrow I am not worried. I do hope I can pick it up Sunday when I get back, but I figure worse case will be Monday.

Congrats, I know you will be happy when you get behind the wheel.

I am going to give them about three days to tint the windows, like the ones on Stevegee, and apply the paint, leather and glass protectant, then I will put my wife behind the wheel.

I am having remote start installed on mine. Not sure how long that will take. But in a prior conversation my salesman thought that on the newer cars it a very small thing they need to do (like just connect one thing to another). But he is not sure on the 2012 Focus. However long it takes - I am just really hoping I can pick it up Sunday! The closer it gets, the more difficult the wait is.

The remote start and Stainless Scuff Trim are both dealer installed items that are shipped with the car. I don't think they are that difficult of time consuming to install.

I called the Customer Relationship Center today. They were very helpful and gave me an ETA. My dealer gave me nothing but "We expect it to arrive any day now!"

Ordered: 4/18
Build: 5/20
ETA: 6/8 - 6/15

3 - 4 weeks to go only 200 miles seems excessive, but the ETA is still in line with the expected 6 - 8 week order-to-delivery time.

My VIN was generated today, and my order was submitted about 6pm last night. +1 for Groove Ford in Colorado. It sounded like they had the allocation available to get it built fairly quickly. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I ordered a Sterling Grey Titanium Sedan with 401A, winter, nav, moonroof, and 17" polished wheels.
