I was back into the dealership that day for Llumar ceramic window film install and told the salesperson about the email and had the printed offer page with certificate # on it. He talked to the sales manager and they input the offer in the system and I signed a paper and should be getting the $750 in 4-6 weeks!

Thanks guys!

PS - Also got $500 off for Ford finance and they told me I have to pay on it for 3 months before I pay it off, but like others in this thread it says nothing in the contract about that and says no prepayment penalty so I'm paying it off as soon as I get the payment info.
So the dealer did you a favor, did the work to finance the car which gave you an extra $500, then did you another favor and helped you save another $750 for a total of $1250. You say you were very happy with the service the dealer provided you and then you are going to pay the car off as quickly as possible which will prevent the dealer from getting that $500 savings that they passed along to you?

I have seen many threads with this going on and it's kind of frustrating - dealers are essentially fronting you money that they will not receive for 3 months. If the buyer pays off all they financed except 3 months worth of payments they would only be paying a small portion of that $500 back in interest and the dealer would get their kickback - everyone wins.

Eventually dealers are going to stop fronting money to purchasers and then everyone's going to be mad at the dealers.

Well the paperwork guy said he would make 3 equal payments of the balance, if my intent was to pay it off right away. I was actually thinking of all but $100 then a couple of $50 payments.

I thought the $500 was provided by FMCC?

Wasn't necessarily calling you specifically out - I have seen several people here and on the F150 forums posting about not caring if the dealer received their kickback of not.

Your plan above is perfect - saves you the most money and assures the dealer gets their money.

Right - but the end user must keep the car financed for 3 months otherwise the dealer does not get the money from FMCC.

Ah, ok. Makes perfect sense now. I definitely wouldn't screw the dealer knowing that... Just pay a large portion the first month and then pay interest on a small amount the 2nd and 3rd month.

Everyone wins. (Besides FMCC :P)

Ordered a Candy Blue SEL with moon roof and winter package on 5/10/11. Dealer sent me an email with the VIN today, that's 3 weeks.

It was only a couple days after my build date before it was on a train headed this way - so hopefully yours will be released right away too.

I just talked to my sales guy and as of yesterday my car was in Kentucky. I am really hoping it arrives in Atlanta Thursday so that it gets to my dealer before the weekend. Otherwise the earliest I can get it is Monday. Although my salesman did offer to go pick it up at the train station.
