Here's a couple of more pictures taken in full sun today. They're at odd angles but I was really trying to capture the sparkly reflections in the metallic tri-coat paint and I couldn't pick that up, straight-on.

Winter pkg has all weather floor mats in addition to carpeted. Nice big rubber ones w/ Focus on them

My ETIS updated with my build date (yesterday) sticker showed 21st. At least it's built with Kona blue, some people with build dates before me didn't get Kona so I'm happy.

I ordered my car 4-19 and he has called me, unprompted, every week with an update. He just called me today to let me know he was looking but cannot tell yet if my car has been placed on a rail - but that he is checking daily. He also said it "popped up" that I had received the $750 privacy cash offer from Ford. Since my car was not a special order, I was surprised to hear that my dealer was notified of me receiving the coupon. Regardless, my salesman told me "that will be taken off of what we discussed". He is so easy going and helpful, unlike any other car salesman I have ever dealt with!

Now for my car....the details are now in ETIS. I am not sure reading through them was helpful with all the "more" and "less" listed. I did have one question - I ordered the "winter package" that should come with all weather floor matts - but ETIS says I get carpeted. Honestly, I prefer carpeted - but am curious about the difference between ETIS and what I ordered. Should I take a check off list when picking up my car to make sure it has everything it is suppose to have?
Lucky. Mine sucks. He hasn't told me anything.. not even a VIN. When I asked for a VIN he said he'll call me when he gets an ETA. Nothing else.

Is there any other way to get a VIN than the dealer? My salesman is "always busy". :(

If they're close I'd drive there and personally ask for info.

Or try to get a hold of the sales manager. He's the one that actually puts in the order and can contact ford directly. Your salesman is basically the middle man.

Go in and say you want to see the Sales Manager and tell him you would like to see the vehicle order information on your car. Tell him your not impressed with the lack of service - you shouldn't have to put up with that.

I've thought a lot about this and I can't help but feeling that this is unacceptable. It'd be fine if the car was dealer stock, but as I understand it they did this to a car that was specifically ordered for you, and that it was done without your prior consent. Doesn't matter if it was done for "free" or not, IMHO. Yeah, you wanted tint (who in San Antonio wouldn't?) but who's to say that they did it using the materials that you wanted? My dealer offers a tint package but I don't want it specifically because they use a metallic tint and I don't want that because of its possible effect on cell phone reception.

I would have complained. But what can you do, it's already be done.
