In early 2000 I talked my way into 2 wrecked in the rear 2000 Foci that I used for the first turbo kit and fo tuning and learning on , I tried it all when it comes to tuning , those days all there was out was the Mike Wesley "Autologic" it was archaic by todays standards but it worked , there a year later came Diablosport and then SCT and they work ok
I shoot for 10.8 (boosted) because thats where it makes the safest TQ/HP if you go to 11.2 the Zetec makes little to no more TQ/HP but you increase the chance of detonation
I dont run 10.8 to cover up excessive timing , I have played with the spark vs A/F 1000 different ways on my in house dynojet dyno and I am very conservative when it comes to spark
I turn off most adders and subtractors because I like the spark to do what I want it to do not what its told to do for emissions , a/f etc
