Airaid Cold Air Dam Intake 08-10 Focus

Recently purchased an Airaid Intake for my 2010 focus. The box came to its new home yesterday and was patiently waiting for its installation. I picked this up from Autoanything.com for a good price.

Link to product @ Airaid.com:
Airaid Model 450-234

Installation was a snap. I think the hardest part was getting the OEM hose clamps off from the stock intake hose. I have never seen little clamps like these, I had to cut them off with dykes, i wasn't going to use them anyways. It really is the simplest thing to do. Basic knowledge of replacing your everyday stock air filter is pretty much all that is needed.(I had to remove my airbox from my '94 Cutlass to get to the battery, more than one occasion)
**Overall Installation took me about 1 hour, being meticulous added about 15 minutes to my time

Stock Intake:

*I like the fact that this system incorporates the OEM Ram air in the front of the hood, for a little added fresh air flow.

MY REVIEW and Conclusion-
(1-5 Low to High rating)

Ease of Installation: 5
~Easy, great for beginners wanting to get their hands somewhat dirty

Price/Value: 4
~This just depends on where you purchase intake from

Product Quality: 5
~Very well made, everything fits to specs, all parts/pieces were in box.

Appearance:5
~To me, eye candy under the hood. Like Keith Stone, so smooth...

OVERALL:4.75
~I think its a great product for all of the above reasons.....Enjoy!

Acceleration is very smooth getting on it, and when pulling out in traffic at the higher rpms, which is to be expected, overall, I feel like it will be a good value and good purchase. Time will tell if it will increase MPGs though, Will report in when some results present themselves!

AFTER Installation:

I picked one of these up for my sedan and I love it I would totaly agree with you on all parts and in wet conditions I won't seezz up my motor like with others like the fsworks or k&n

Now the mpg I report about 2-4 city and 3-4 highway but keeping my foot out those high rpm lmao that is almost undoable
Consecutively I got 27-30 city and 35-40 highway before the intake

I went with Weapon R intake and so far im happy. I know there is a lot of controversy with them, but I have found nothing wrong. Makes the exhaust sound nice and intake, and the power is there.

LMAO, i was waiting for somebody to ask that question.

I currently rent a house, which was built in 1969, BUT only has had elderly people living in it for a long while(The curtains are Green, bathrooms are blue and yellow) I guess somewhere down the line they decided to Vinyl tile the garage floor. SO yes, its the garage, LOL.

You'll love your Airaid, I know I love mine. FYI, they make the Roush SRI. They're exactly the same. I figured if Jack likes them, I probably would too.

Thanks, Definitely loving it. It breathes very nicely now. So far, gas mileage is staying up, in my 14 mile round trip to and from work, sort of stop and go, if you get the 1st light, moderate gas pedal, not hard on it, but not so easy, I am averaging 27.8 mpg right now....which isnt bad, there isnt a spec of highway MPGs on that average either, I reset the display when I installed this SRI.

Is the sound noticeably different than the stock air box?
