Badgeless grill
Hi all.My wife is looking to get rid of the Ford badges on her 12 Focus. I went to my local body shop and the rear is no problem but the front they do not want to try and modify. I have been looking for a badgeless grill but have had no luck. I tried searching badgeless gril on this forum also with no luck. Does anyony in the group know where I could find a badgeless grill for a 12 focus?

Thanks for the quick reply. It is good to know that at least I did not miss seeing something. As far as the body shop goes, they do not want to do something in plastic so close to the heat of the radiator. They did a similar modification to my MK5 R32, and the plastic warped at the spots where the grafted piece was installed.

just wait a couple years, thats when aftermarket parts start rolling out, when you buy a new car, you gotta wait til awhile before parts start rolling, and once the warranty is gone, thats when the parts really start cranking out

Buy this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-FORD-FO...item20c05125ef
Its super cheap. Modify it to shave off the circular ford trim and straighten it out then paint it. Done. Goodluck with the project!

That is what I did with my VW. The heat from the engine affects the adhesive differently than the donor plastic, and the grafted piece warps and twists as a result.

At some point you still have to connect to the original plastic piece, and therein lies the problem. I am going on what the body shop guys told me, they would rather not do it.

I found a guy on Ebay that is making grille sets for the Focus, and he made me a set without the cutout for the Ford oval. The stuff is here, and it looks pretty nice. I will be replacing all four front pieces with satin black powdercoated metal pieces. The car goes in at the end of April.
