Also, I'm assuming a stop will be needed along the way, no need to kill Ourselves pulling this trip off in one shot.I was thinking somewhere outside of Memphis, but always open to suggestions.

When going that way the DFW crew meets at a park just south of I-30 at the Dalrock exit in the middle of Lake Ray Hubbard.

For the South Texas crew meeting up with us it might be best at the rest area just 7 miles in to Arkansas.

I'm sure most of us from Dallas will need a fuel stops around Little Rock and Nashville.

Well from the map ... It's Texarkana or Little Rock for nice stop Town/City ...

Question is ... can the Houston Guys handle 7-8hrs straight to LittleRock or will we Houston peeps have to stop in Texaskana, a 5/6hr drive?

Dallas to Little Rock is like 5/6hrs and to Texarkana is that 3 hour drive that J stated.

I've gone from Houston to OKC in one shot before ... 7-8 hour drive, with no issues ... just good sleep before. One stop for Gas in Dallas.

So, I don't see an issue driving straight to Little Rock, AR ... Houston ... we need to have a pow-wow on length you can handle.

I think for the Austin/San Antonio group meeting up at Lake Hubbard is a great idea. We can then rendevous with the Houston guys in Texarkana.

Getting to Little Rock on day 1 is quite doable for Me, but I'm trying to pull this trip off in 24-26 hours including stops for gas and sleep. I wanna blaze ass there so I can relax for a couple days and then possible take a full 2-3 days to go back, nice leisurely cruise home, Ya know?

That said, the meet n greet is at 6pm, but I certainly don't plan on leaving Austin that late in the afternoon, as It's just safer to put miles on during daylight hours whenever possible. So I'm thinking since Little Rock is roughly 8.5 hours out(from Austin and Houston), that might be the best place to meet up for the night, whether at a hotel or a rest stop that allows overnight parking around 9pm, get a good night rest and be back on the road by 9am-ish latest.

Plus, 12 hours in the Little Rock area will give anyone needing to take more breaks to catch up. I'm guessing the final push into KY will be adrenaline driven, so most folks will be okay to pull it off on day 2. If need be, there can always be 2 separate caravans, but We really should try to stick together as much as possible, IMO.

I agree on the sticking together ...

And wow, J ... so are you taking 3 days before the event and 3 days after off???
That's what it seems.

I believe the talk is heading out of our cities in TX Thursday morning and getting there somewhere around Friday Afternoon.

Then heading back Sunday and being in our cities by Monday afternoon ... someone correct me if I am wrong.

I'm taking as much time as I need to do it safely and enjoyably, probably not far off from Your schedule. Leaving Thursday morning or midday works fine for Me, and I'm not rushing to get back. Not sure where You got the 3 days early part from, as I plan on running with the caravan.

Okay ... it just seemed like it because you said take a full 2-3 days of leisure home drive.
