the 225/40's i've run on track days, they don't rub, but i had coilovers, i think you will be ok on a stock suspension, not sure

i noticed that stock is 215/45/17. i'm going to be buying 2 new tires today, and was wondering if i should get them in 225/40/17? Then this would mean i'm going to have 215/45 in the back and 225/40 in the front, would this be a bad setup?

Hoosier R6's and A6's are really the only tires that are made in a 225/40R17. There are no street tires available in that size. So if your talking for autocrossing, you're gonna want 4 Hoosiers on the car. If you looking for street tires, I'd stick with the stock 215/45's.
