The SVT can very easily be the best car for H-stock. The Packwood tour this year and last year have been my only NT events that I've done, both of which I was able to place first. By no means am I an autox noob, with 13 years under my belt. Joe Austin is also no pushover. But both years I failed to put up the perfect run for both days, yet was still able to get the win. I just goes to show how well the car does in the class. I don't even have the optimal shock/strut setup. I was hoping to be able to compete with Jimmy Crawford at the National Championships, to see how well I can do against the best HS driver in recent history, but I heard he's racing something else, which is kinda a bummer.

Anyway, thanks for the recognition!

that is awesome to hear!
so far this season i'm doing pretty well in my HS svt, and we don't have a bad region either. it's only my second season, so it's good to hear the car has potential.
what size tire did you run?? it's hard to to fit a lot under these cars without rubbing too much.

nice driving!

I'm running 225/40 Hoosiers. They are slightly short than the stock size which helps alitte with the SVT's tall gears. Ian Basford, who was at the PW NT last year was running 245/40 Hoosiers on his SVT without rubbing as well, but I'm not too much of a fan of that size since it would be taller than stock. A good set of struts or an H&R front bar eliminates rubbing as well.

yeah, i'm still on stock struts and stock fsb so i rub at times with my 215/45s.
i just put on some 225/45 v710's. they rub because of all the body roll, but that was expected.

i didn't even check the FSP results, that was stupid of me..

i saw Omni did pretty well in the Denver pro also.

focus domination FTW!

Working on moving it to FSP. I guess there isn't a thread on this forum about it, but there are these three:

http://forums.focaljet.com/road-rall...-svtf-dsp.html
http://www.sccaforums.com/forums/for.../threadpage/14
http://www.cicenet.net/showthread.php?t=10412

The gist of it is that in SP trim, compared to the 2.3L Foci that are already in FSP, the SVTF has worse gearing, worse motor, and is heavier. Lots of people have submitted letters, including SVTF owners like me, and 2.3L FSP competitors (Lorin, etc). The suggested change was published in June 2011 Fastrack, too.

I'm excited because it would allow modified SVTF's a chance to competitively autocross. SP seems to be the ideal place for the Focus SVT. My setup should be: Torsen, H&R Race, Koni Yellows, 15x7 TD PR1, 225/45/15 RS3 or z214 c71's, and a race seat of some kind. Somewhat unfortunately, huge tires are legal in SP. I will never spend the $ for 275 Hoosiers, but some guys will, and well, that sucks for guys like me :P

thanks for the links.

that would be outstanding if they moved the SVT over to FSP. DSP just does not make sense..
i saw that fast track. i like the new idea of ST(f)
where do you send the letters to? i'd be happy to send one in as i am an svtf owner as well.
