i would ask around and see who has the best rep vs cheapest. $300 on an install that works and is done proper vs 200 and you end up like that civic.im not sure what it will cost in your area. but i would expect 300-400ish for the starter, bypass and having it installed.

I have mine done. I got it done at my buddy's audio shop. It works wonderfully. I just make sure to not leave my car in gear when I park. I know they removed the clutch sensor, but I was going to do that anyways. I don't use cruise control.

I've been thinking about getting remote start, but I'm thinking that I will get some performance things done first. I also like the idea in http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=200742 that thread of having it react to the key being close. Also I would want to get power locks (and possibly windows) prior to a security system.
