My wife and I drink the occasional Red Wine for our alcohol itch.
I've lately started drinking Tortuga Rum with friends ... that stuff is good. I am a social Beer Drinker ... so thankfully I have been very busy at work and working on the car. -Ray-

Apparently, I lied. Most of the estrogen is depleted during the fermentation process. Continue on drinking beer.

I'd like to add that I as a heavy drinker for the better part of a decade, which combined with the typical poor eating and sleeping habits of a drunk and the lethargic lifestyle, I had gained quite a bit of weight. I stopped that back in 2007, and within 6 months of just eating and sleeping a bit more normally and not drinking, and becoming less lethargic, I dropped many extra pounds and went down a shirt size. I do have a drink here and there, Maybe a 1 jack and coke this week,a glass or two of lambrusco wine with dinner the next, and a few pints of Guinness a few weeks later. I only drink to intoxication a few times a year now, and not only have I lost weight, but I also feel much better and find my mental clarity is much better.

If you are a daily beer drinker and have 2-4 beers on weekdays and 5-6 on weekend days and simply cut drinking beer 3 days a week you will drop 5-10 pounds easily in 4-6 weeks. Add a better diet and exercise and you will lose even more faster.
Replacing your daily beer with vodka tonic or a glass of wine is another alternative. |

Posted via FF Mobile If you don't like your body then adopt better eating habits and workout plans... Last summer I started Insanity the first time, a two month workout from the group that made p90x, I'm 6'2" and only did a month and went from 210 to 193. I also switched to skim milk and reduced fat cheeses and whole wheat breads and what not... I like to go out with friends and drink plenty a couple nights a week, I kept that weight off without working out up till I started the program again about a month ago... This time I encorporated the south beach diet which basically eliminates all carbs and sugars for first 2 weeks, this round I've gone from 193 to 184... I still cheat and go out a few days a week drinking, but basically it's the carbs and sugar reactions in the blood that causes alcohol to male you gain weight

It's the carbs you eat that force your body to create insulin, and when there is an abundance of insulin in the blood stream- fat cells are locked down. When this happens, your body will only create more fat cells or add to the ones you have, not use those for energy. It takes a while to get it back to where the body uses energy stored in the fat cells even after insulin levels have dropped.
