Dieting....

This is one of the hardest things to do since there are endless amounts of diets out there and then there are different variations of each diet.

One of the more effective diets is the Atkins Diet also known as the low carb diet. Many people have had great sucess with this diet but keep in mind not every diet works for everyone.

No matter which diet you use, or even make up your own, there are a few basic rules that apply to all of them.

1) DON'T STARVE YOURSELF.... when you starve yourself sure you will loose weight but it is very harmful to your body. When you starve yourself your metabolism slows down to almost a standstill and when you do eat your body tries to store every bit of calories you take in as fat since theres so little intake.

2) EAT SEVERAL TIMES A DAY.... When you eat several SMALL meals a day it helps to keep your metabolism cranked up and you will burn more calories for a longer period of time. Think of your body as a furnace the more often you put fuel in the longer the sustained burn.... but you need to use common sense when eating.

3) USE COMMON SENSE WHEN EATING.... you simply can not eat "junk foods" and expect to loose weight. You can eat something "bad" once in awhile but not everyday.

4) THE INTERNET IS YOUR FRIEND.... the net is a great source for dieting information and should be used... but again use some common sense and sift through the information because there is some bad info out there.... but there is alot of good as well.

No matter what diet you choose you still NEED to exercise to maximize your weight loss
