Moving to SF bay area

Hey guys, Im moving to the SF bay area in about 2-3 weeks for my new job. I will be flying cargo out of the Oakland airport. I would love to meet with everyone once i get up there for sure. And I also need a place to live I plan on being in the bay area for a few months, then try to upgrade in my company and move else where. So if anyone has a room to rent or any suggestions on where to live thats not far from the oakland airport it would be greatly appreciated.

I look forward to meeting the NorCal crew soon!

How did I miss this thread, I'm sorry man. Well the further east you go the cheaper the housing will be. How far of drive do you want to and from the airport?

Congrats on the new job James. Make sure you look for housing as far as possible from the Oakland Airport area :)

hey guys, looks like i might be there as early as wednesday, should have been sooner but ran into some training delays.

I would like to live close to the airport, i know that a rough neighborhood, but i will be working 12-14 hour days and want to drive as little as possible, if help finding a place would be awesome!

Well if you can find a place right next to the airport its really not all that bad. I've been through there a few times and it never seemed too dangerous to me.

Alameda is super easy to get to/from the cargo terminal. There are always houses up for rent in the Harbor Bay area (which is right next to the airport).
