Is it a big deal if I keep getting error code 133 which is front o2 heater responding slowly? should I replace the sensor?

I have a 2002 zx3 5-speed. I installed FSWerks race exhaust on it and it currently has the stock cat and header. I want to get a longpipe header that elimates the cat. how do i go around the oxygen sensors so my engine light wont stay on and it can pass inspection here in new york? Thanks

There are many things that will cause this

Vac leak
did you change intakes , this will cause a p0133
bad o2 fuse
bad o2

I would find out what it is before just throwing parts at it

Tom

Yes, not having a cat and using a cheater to generate a random voltage signal instead of actual real time data will effect MPG. I would say that those that delete the cat and use the o2 sensor cheater on their cars are not concerned with MPG.

The after cat O2 sensor does not affect mileage, it has nothing to do with the injection, only used to monitor cat.
