Will I benefit from a tune?

Just as the title says, I'm debating getting a programmer and having it custom tuned but I'm unsure what benefits I will see from it. My ZX3 is mostly stock besides a MAC intake and some Steeda plug wires. I would love more power but can I also have better driveability out of a custom tune? Perhaps some better mpg's? I don't know anything about custom tunes so any help is appreciated. Thanks

With your mods you wont get a lot of performance from a Custom tune , you should get a little better driveability , maybe some MPG but it wont get worse most say all the little things add up to it being wort a tune

Getting a Custom Tune from me you get FREE updates as you add more mods or want things changes so that helps

I was hoping to get some input from you Tom, everyone on this board holds your opinion with high regard. I would love to modify my car more but I've had some issues with cops over the years so I can't really have anything that sticks out too much. I had to take off my exhaust and window tint already due to VA cops :( and I was just passing through there. Any other mod ideas I could go for that don't draw attention? I was thinking full SVT exhaust but I don't know how that would sound on a regular zetec. I would love to have a faster car so any ideas I'm all ears.

If you do the SVT exh it isnt loud , stick with the high flow cat and stock muffler , add a throttle body , and a tune would add about 15-18HP easy

Agree,^ and go with Tom's tune it's the best around. Hand down the best.

so let me get things straight- svt header, high flow cat, stock or 2.5" flex?, and stock zetec exhaust or stock svt exhaust?

If you can get a full SVT Exh that would be great if not just adding the header and HFC to the stock Exh will still help just not as much as a 2.25 SVT Exh or a 2.5 cat back

maybe ill put my 2.5" borla trubendz back on then and just add a resonator to it to quiet it up some. that with a 2.5"flex, high flow cat and svt header would be the best i could do for exhaust?

Don't forget to toss a bigger throttle body on it, that will help as well. I have an SVT one if you're interested.
