Focus Rookie

Transmission question
Looking at getting a focus and the guy who owns it says the bearings where the drive axle goes in is seized. Keeps stripping the axle. Suggested I change the transmission. Is there a way to get this changed and at what cost?

The,trans can be changed but the cost depends on whether or not they just drop a new trans in or reman your current one. I dont know the cost exactly but it can be expensive.
