Arrow How to remove roof rack...?

Did a search nothing came up. So how would I go about removing the roof rack from my 2000 ford focus wagon? Is there screws that you have to get from the inside or something else? I plan on painting the whole car in the spring so what's involved in the bondo and sanding part too?

Thanks for info.

you need some torx screws... You unscrew them from outside of the car. look at your roof rack closes and you'll see them.

Okay well IDK if this model is different from most, but there are no screws attaching the roof rack to the roof. Here is a pic of where it is attached to the roof, and there are no screws anywhere on that glossy black part.

This is a 2000 ford focus se wagon. made in Michigan.

Well now I can see the picture better it does look different.

Take some fishing line and see if you can saw between the roof and the rack. See what happens.

Yea I ran a piece of fishing line under the first one there, the one in the pic, and There is defiantly atleast one screw there. I wonder if on this model you have to go through the "o ship handles"? Atleast for the two front ones, and have to pull back the liner a little for the back-back?

Holly hell they are different. Just went and look at my racks. Mine sat on the roof all the way down where as yours only sit at 3 points.

I know the oh shit handles don't go through. Pull the A pillar and look under the headliner.

How Does the A pillared come off, just pull, and do the clips usually break?
