Moved to MkI Focus section.

Better for general reference than the MkII duratec performance section.

AFAIK this was never put into production.

A member made one out of copper tubing and solder. It sold on BST some months back. IMO it'd look really good clear coated. Plus, if one was to flare the ends where the hoses connect and POW.

I make mine as well but they are not so pretty. Damn sure don't leak though. I just overtighten the clamps a bit to make up for the lack of a flared end and it works fine. One on each of my Foci and a somewhat different one on the Contour as it plumbs a bit different there. Bulletproof. Cost maybe $20 the last one I did.

I keep a spare in the spare tire well, but a bullet proof one would be nice.

It seems like it would be easy enough to find an 45 degree elbow and an "F" fitting, but I never came up with much. Those two fittings would do the same thing, just make up the difference in the middle with heater hose.

I went to Dormans suggestion box a while ago that they make this pipe out of metal like they did with the GM 3.8 coolant elbow things. Of course there could be the chance that they screw it up, but it was worth a shot.
