So, looking at my 2012 H-Stock *tire* setup, so far I have this:
- K&N Drop In Filter - Koni Adjustable Shocks - Top Speed Aluminum Race Exhaust - Moog Endlinks - Hankook RS-3 225/45-17 Tires - Sparco Assetto Garza wheels: 17x7, 17.9lbs - front sway bar???? What front sway bar are people running in H-Stock? I'm looking into a custom 21.5/22.25/23 adjustable bar . . . anyone know what the guys running National Tour events are using? |

if you are going to nationals i don't think those wheels will comply. they have an offset of 42 and the stockers have an offset of 49. the rule states it has to be +/- .25
(unless you are planning on running spacers) i'm pretty sure one of the guys takes his SVT to nationals on the stock front sway. that's what i use and i can't complain, i like the feel of it.

Yeah, doesn't quite make the cut for wheel offset. I would just drive some stockers until you want to drop some coin for a light 17x7 wheel.

Wow you ended up with 2?!? Nice.
Out of curiousity, could you put the stock 16s on the SVT focus in Stock class?? I wonder because it is a Ford Standard wheel that was offered to the "Focus" during that time. Since Stock class must have stock wheels ... or do you have to stick with the SVT Focus 17s? I didn't read through the whole thread, more like skimmed through. But I was going to say go for the Direzzas for keep the exact tire size as stock for a great sticky setup with out worrying about rubbing. I also think the Stock Suspension is way to soft for 225 tires. I have the KYB Adjustable Shocks and am pretty happy with them. But yes overall, the Koni's are usually the best choice. -Ray-

Only?? In a game of tenths of seconds, 80 pounds is significant. Light weight wheels would net you about 10lbs per corner, and those cost money. I know miata guys scrounging for half that.

I actually think its a whole lot less.
Myself and one of our other members weighed our cars one day at the race track. I came in around 2790 with me in it and the other member (SleepyBoy) came in around 2680 ... that's a little over 100lbs from my SVT to his ZX3. I definitely believe that weigh plays a factor. Now that weight I stated isn't with my current race wheels (Rotas). Which are 14lbs lighter than my wheels I weighed in at the time. (Rotas - 14lbs / MSR Wheels - 28lbs) -Ray-
