MTX-75 Short Throw Shifter

SOLD!

Hey guys, i've got this left over from when I still had the Cougar. I bought this guy on ebay and the ad said it fit the Focus with an MTX-75 trans (up to 04ish and with zetec?). I thought it would work fine in the Cougar but it did not because the pivot ball on the shifter was just a little bit too big. I'm not sure if the Focus is different or not but it didn't work for me and my 07 is a different setup entirely.

The lower points were re-welded to make sure this will not break like most of the cheap shifters do. Asking $15 shipped OBO.

Any questions please feel free. Thanks for looking!

This should fit any Zetec focus with an MTX. It will NOT fit SVT's for sure.

The only concern I have is the size of the pivot ball. I was under the impression that all Contour/Focus/Cougar's with an MTX-75 transmission used the same in-car shift tower but mine did not. I don't have a focus to test-fit anymore so its a buy at your own risk. For what its worth, the ebay auction only said it fit the Focus and not the Contour and Cougar.

the only reason that i ask is because other shifters that i have seen say "Short Throw Shifter for 2000 - mid 2002 fits all 2.0L Zetec Focus' equipped with the MTX-75 five-speed transmission."

That style shifter fits 2000-early 2002. Cut off is April of 02. After that its a different style.
I went through the same thing a couple of months ago.
