Upgrade Power Steering Pressure Sensor?

Have a leaking Power Steering Pressure Sensor on my 02 Focus wagon with ~21K mi.

This is the first time I have had a sensor fail so would like to use a Power Steering Pressure Sensor that will last.

If anyone has replaced this sensor would be interested in any suggestions.

Thanks

Ken

is it just loose? or maybe a bad o-ring on the sensor? a quick google search showed a o ring on it.

Yeah, that sounds faulty... I run good aftermarket fluid in mine. But the parts are all stock with no issues...

'02 is likely the issue, not the 21,000 miles. Plastic pieces give up from age more often than from other causes....

8 yrs. from the original one?

Stick in another & don't worry about it...

We see these fail occasionally that way, but it's NOT an epidemic like old Toyota oil pressure sensors were....

Thanks everyone!

Was offline for a while.

Finally realized from a_2000_se link that I was using the wrong search terms.

Is it possible to change the Subject Heading to "Upgrade Power Steering Pressure Switch?

Ken
