Doug
I go to them whenever I have the time.
The Roscoe plaza one by the dollar general and dairy queen is the best one. More cars and better cars.
The one by Sophia isn't bad, kinda small.
I go to the Beloit cruise night/burnout pits every year. Love doing that, had my truck in it this year.

yes sir, i am definitely the modding type... i hope i don't get too shunned here but i am also a Dodge/Mopar guy... in March 2010 i was fortunate enough to find and purchase a new Plum Crazy Dodge Challenger R/T... when i bought the car, my intent was to keep everything factory stock... well, that didn't last as long as i thought it would... so far, i have added a Mopar CAI, a Petty R/T front strut tower brace, custom vinyl graphics, liquid metal flame airbrushed engine half covers, embroidered head rests, Corsa Extreme catback, and a Magnuson supercharger... the car is conservatively tuned to 460 RWHP and 471 TQ. if work goes well, i'm planning on a set of long tube headers, blue top transmission solenoids, and swapping the factory 3:06 rear end out with a 3:73... then turning up the heat to around 505 RWHP... then i think i'll be done with it... maybe?

as far as the Focus goes, i'm planning on keeping the performance stock... i would however like to add some custom Focus SE graphics to the lower half of the doors (similar to what the Ford Probes had (93-96 era) had one of them too for a brief period, a 93 Probe SE... i'm also thinking about a set of Focus door sill guards too... gotta get a new Ford license plate frame too... the Griffin Ford one it came with just isn't going to cut it... i'm sure though as time goes on my mod list will grow... once the mod bug bites, it's next to impossible to find a cure...

hey shonut! i do agree the 6's were a lot better, especially if mated with a manual transmission... since mine is a 97 it does have the V8 and is an automatic... it's in pretty nice shape though for the age but has an intermittent stalling problem that is frustrating me to the ends of the earth! sounds tough as nails though and is a lot of fun to drive... also, one of the more comfortable cars that i've owned... wish the 3rd gens would have come with fog lights too but no dice...

Explain the stalling out a little more in detail. I might be able to help with more info.

hey shonut,

it seems like after the car warms up a bit, it would like to stall out at stop lights and stop signs... as the speed would decrease, the rpm's would fall and just stall out... it would restart "fairly" easily each time... also last fall, i had a coil pack go bad while on the interstate... it didn't like that very much either... had the coil pack replaced and thought maybe we had fixed the problem, but no, it still does the stalling thing... i've replaced the MAF and idle air speed controller too... that did nothing to help it either... it's a decent car and i'd love to put some more miles on it but i just don't trust it out of town at all...

i may not be a focus owner anymore, was doing some stupid shit first snow fall, long story short, hit ice. tried to dodge a tree, hit curb, just hit the tree with my tire. no body damage just tire. but it pushed it up into my passenger foot well :/ broke the axle and lower control arm, sure i bent the strut too. 3 of the 4 rims are bent :( sad day.

BUTTT im looking at a 300zx with 46xxx miles on it, with the vg30dett in it, one owner!!!! if my insurance says totaled im getting that. otherwise if they can fix it for 3 to 5 grand ill be driving a focus again.
