Yes I did many Focus events at VIR and a few guys from here (John) were there as well , The Black Car is my SVT and was there at all the Focus (Spring Fling) events at VIR

A LOT! I have looked into getting just the core and having custom end tanks welded on. Just a nice name brand core the size of that one will set you back at least 300 bucks. Add in the ducting and custom end tanks and I would guess north of 700 bones. Not all intercoolers are created equal, that aint no cx-racing Chinese crap there.

Its not flow, I don't doubt they flow well, but cooling efficiency that I am talking about. Just looking at the amount of fins in between the flow bars Garrett and precision cores have about twice as many, as any of the cheap intercoolers I have ever seen, cxracing or frozen boost ect. Not to mention the quality of the metal itself can determine the level of thermal conductivity. There is a reason the brand name ones cost 3-4 times as much, because they are worth it. While a cxracing might be good enough for a 300hp build it would not cool as well as the equivalent size Garrett core.
