Because in a ps bottle you get half as much for the same price or more lol.

Interesting. I ran Redline full synthetic in the SVT for tens of thousands of miles and no change in steering feel or weird noises. Did the swap in my wife's ZX5 as well at 100k miles, drove for 5k more, no weirdness.

Ford PS systems call for mercon V, thats just how they were designed. Other cars require regular PS fluid, but not Ford.

I predict that your car is going to overheat due to such microscopic coolant lines. There's no way you are going to come close to flowing what the larger oem hoses do. I would have left them alone.

PS fluid is thinner @ idle fluid gets to around 220 degrees in our cars and will not raise the pressure needed for the rack or pump, seals will leak especially the one on the back of the pump.
