Stainless 10.9 bolts should do the trick, right?

Question:

The parts are very heavy...am I suppose to brace the turbo somehow to the block of the car? Or will it be okay just leaving it bolted to the manifold?

Since your manifold doesn't have super long runners that would add to the stress, I would say you don't need a brace. People running long tube Top Speed manifolds don't need braces and they're fine. I ran that kind of setup for a couple thousand miles, no probs.

If you want peace of mind, you could have a support welded from the turbo flange to a place that bolts to the head. Really not necessary, though.

Lastly, 10.9 bolts are way overkill. 8.8 bolts would do just fine and even that's stronger than necessary.

Thanks! I'll take the parts to the store to see what threads and type of head on the bolt will make installation easier if i have to do it while on the car.

Ill see how it all is after installation but yea, i shouldnt need supports. Most people dont have any.

Next, should i slot any of the holes on the flange of the manifold? I was told I should to avoid cracking due to expansion while heating...

Lastly, should I wrap the manifold, even thought it's small, or just leave it be until i ceramic coat it?

Jim only wrapped his downpipe. He left his super long tube top mount manifold unwrapped and doesn't have any issues with things melting. So if you like the look of your manifold, don't wrap it.

What should I do about the Power Steering line? I cant seem to see where most people move theirs to....

As a positive note, I picked up the 2008 mazda3 2.3L manual tranny from the Russian KGB (literally lol) for $325, score!

You can cut the power steering line, then twist the line coming off of the pump down. You can use copper compression fittings and copper tubing from Home Depot to route it underneath the manifold. Or you could do what Jim did and route it over the radiator. No need to move it on the SVT because the line sits over 3" above the manifold, which is plenty far.

haha its going so so. I need gaskets and some titanium wrap :( ordering tonight.

Then need to wait to get calipers back and reassemble them all and install.

Tune the car once all is installed.
