they should be decent...
I need to have the manifold ceramic coated. I think I will skip the remote oil and just use the stock location with the sandwich plate I have. Run the oil cooler to the sandwich plate and have the feed lines and sensors connected to it. That will save me time and possible problems.

It has been raining for 4 days now. WTF.
I HOPE I am able to finish 95% the oil setup tomorrow, pending the new cooler I'll have to install. Brakes/caliper assembly should be done in the next week. Just waiting on: 1) TopSpeed's parts 2) FAL fan 3) New charge pipe 4) 5.0 mustang TB 5) Boost gauge installation. Getting close!

I'm gonna get some custom cams or a "cam" once I do research and get opinions. Not interested in it til the new tranny and the engine are done...then we'll talk that!

I installed the oil sandwich plate and made -10an lines for the cooler that should be here soon this week.
I had to cut over 1/4" off of two parts of the block to get the cooler to fit...kinda tight down there. ![]() ![]() Testing to see if it fits...its a 26mm head, glad i have a set of 3mm up to 36mm open ended wrenches. ![]() The two places I had to cut from to get the fittings to fit.

Oil coolers like that in my opinion are a hugh mistake to be running , I have seen a lot of engines go bad with them
Most bearing ware the most at start up and with an oil cooler system like yours the oil has to go from the oil pump to the cooler then back to oil the engine , this takes time why this is happening the engine spins a few times with no oil , I would look into an accusump as well this way you can pre oil then start Tom

I'm gonna be adding a thermostatic Mocal plate instead so nothing goes to the cooler until it hits a certain temp. It will be the way to go for cold Michigan weather in the winter, early spring and late fall.
It would solve the problem you speak of. The cooler and lines would be filled with oil anyways, so the engine would technically have -more- oil in the system, not less, right? It wouldn't be a bad thing, esp with a thermostatic sandwich plate.

No more opinions, esp on the thermostatic plate? I know some of you know more about these than me!
