Rebuilding the flywheel

Well ran into a problem when i went to put the timing ring back on, it won't sit flush anymore. I ordered the replacement friction plate that is listed on their site and it comes with all new bolts/nuts to replace the 9 bolts and 9 rivets that are in it from new. the inner circle is all rivets and needs to stay rivets in order for the timing ring to be able to bolt back up. So i called tech support at Fidanza and my options are they send me rivets or i send the whole thing to them and they install the rivets. I have them sending me the rivets and a local machine shop will press them in for me. I don't know how much this is gonna cost me but i'm not very happy as they didn't have any notes on any of this on their website. ok im done bitching, just another delay.

Hey Corey Check this out. Did you have to drill out any rivets ? I thought they were all nuts and bolts.

yeah saw that on their site. Didn't have to drill them out just used a punch and knocked them out as per the included instructions. they are only nuts and bolts on the outside cirle of fasteners. the inner has to rivets in order for the timing ring to bolt back on. i called and confirmed this with them and they said they need to add a note to the focus listing about it after i brought it up. they are sending me rivets and im have a local machine shop install them for me. not sure how much this is gonna cost me though.

Ok got the rivets from Fidanza today and had them installed by my local machine shop that still had an old rivet press.

Also got this today to use for my positive junction point under the hood. Part of the battery relocation.

Got the pressure washer out yesterday and cleaned the tranny up while im waiting for the clutch to get here. wish there was an easy was to clean it back to new looking condition.

When terry haines went through my trans he said he just gave the outside a shot of silver paint. Helps to show leaks and such. Also makes it look brand new. Just a thought if you got some time. I think he hot tanked the entire case before but it probably still had the stains that yours has.
