Focus Mark 2 from 2004 to 2010 engines lined up for the Mk 2 was a mixture of old and new. Revised versions of the 1.4 litre and 1.6 litre all aluminium Zetec-SE engines from the previous generation Focus were carried over, although the units were now renamed Duratec, with the addition of 1.6 litre Duratec Ti-VCT engine with variable valve timing. For the South African market, the 1.6 litre BZ inline-four engine was used in their Mk2. For the 2009 facelift it was replaced by the 1.8 litre Duratec.
The 1.8 litre and 2.0 litre Zetec petrol engines of the original were replaced with the Duratec HE.
one issue here buddy is the engine size. it doesnt have any extra such as a turbo/supercharger, but i mean I've never owned a duratec, but my friend had a 2.3L in the states. I have a 2.0L Zetec. Mazda/Ford very interchangeable names with parts. do you know if you have a single camshaft or dual? I don't know my km to mile ratio, but I have 64000 miles on my car and its still a kicking. just a few minor issues like wheel bearings.
