This car really needs to be under $27g and closer to $25g for me to look at.

It's sad how life changes and what once was doable at $30g 1 month ago is now not doable....

The release of this is way too far away to be obsessing about it as much as I have been. I would love if Ford released this ahead of schedule.

I was really expecting to be let down by this car. Either visually, or power wise. But I'm happy to see that it is both sexy, and quick!

Thanks Ford for doing the right thing

They are not going to get more that 24k for this car. Use the MazdaSpeed 3 as an example.

If they put it higher it will have to compete with WRX and other far superior (or Mature) platforms.

I'm interested in the car, but it has to be priced right and have an aftermarket following.

I expect it to be priced around 25k and up. All the bells and whistles will probably be over 30k.

One thing that came to mind today is that if the exhaust on the ST is anything like the show cars that have been seen so far, a hitch for a hitch mounted bike rack isn't going to happen.

True, unless someone makes something different for getting a hitch on there. I really love the exhaust though, so I hope they don't change it.

I actually was hoping they would change it, but every indication I have seen makes it look like center exhaust will be int he showrooms.

I am seriously considering replacing the SVTF with a new ST, but it will definitely require some serious custom work with my friend and his Tig welder to get a hitch working on it. I use my SVTF to tow a trailer for projects & motorcycles, so the hitch is a necessity, but a known issue before I order a new ST.

>>>>This leads me to believe it's set for a November release.

I'm hearing November as well.

Though an odd set of circumstances we ended up with an "Accidental" 2010 Focus and fell in love with it. It's a spare car but I've already told two dealers I'd take the first ST they got in. I like the direction Ford is headed.

In the meantime . . . . back to work.
