The Titanium stickers at about $23k, so there you go. With the premium pkg, it's only $24k. That's the truth, so no more failboat, right?

Anyway, these kinds of statements just don't make sense to me. My Focus stickers between $28k-$29k, and I've seen plenty of folks around here spending equally or nearly as much. The loaded Titanium certainly won't be the highest selling trim/config, but what car's loaded top trim is?

2012 Focus Titanium = Epic WIN!

This isn't directed to anyone in particular, but I think there are those with limited finances, mostly because they're young, who put down a higher priced model simply because they can't afford it.

I just can't wait to order this.
That's what I had read, so I was surprised when the latest Motor Trend mag reported that the ST would not come out until 2012, as a 2013 model. This was not a blurb in a sidebar, it is part of a full article about the ST.

I saw the car was on the cover but I haven't had a chance to read it yet.

Yeah, and that brings up something that has been on my mind. All articles mention that it comes with "high performance summer tires". But it doesn't make sense to release a car in winter (the end of the year) with summer tires, now does it?
This leads me to believe it could be released earlier (this summer or fall) or next spring.

However, if it's released next spring, it would be in the 2013 model year, and Ford has been calling this the 2012 Focus ST. This leads me to the conclusion that it could be released this year, before December.
And, Ford has previously told us we can expect more information, including a build and price this October.

This leads me to believe it's set for a November release. Not so late that it would come with the winter tires installed, still in the 2012 model year, and a month after we can build and price it. Of course, there is still the chance it would be released earlier, or that Ford would just change the name to the 2013 Focus ST and release it next spring.

It's the uncertainty that's killing me. The waiting wouldn't be so bad if I could just put a date on it. Perhaps I should stop thinking about it so much... it would be easier if my phone, computer, and PS3 wallpapers weren't set to the ST...

Ive been researching a few cars right now. I think the new ST will be out of the price range lol If the starting price is going to be in the $24-$28 thousand area, I doubt I could afford it on my Air Force salary lol I think I might go the slightly used route for this on an STI, MS3, or SI. Maybe an SS. But idk.

I really doubt the $27k price will hold for this car.

I agree. But we're all guessing until we see the final version. The MS3 is $23999, so if Ford is going to get $27 it will need to be noticeably better than the MS3. If the ST spanks the MS3 performance wise (which i doubt will happen) I could see it. Or maybe the ST will have better standard features (Recaros, NAV, whatever) to convince buyers to pay more.

Does anyone know how many they are going to produce? 500 or 5000? That could help determine how well the price holds...
