Hey at least with a plate on there it takes some of the "hugeness" out of that grille. Or, it makes it look like a bottom-feeding catfish with a license plate stuck in it's mouth.

Funny, when I looked at the picture above, something about that angle made me think of Mazda 3. Otherwise I don't see the resemblance.

Nah, just reminding you of what you seemed to not think of. I have no reason to be defensive.

Now, you're saying the this new ST with an 80hp increase over the SVT (which was the best Focus we could lay our hands on) has an ECO friendly crap engine? Are you serious? An ECU reflash with some intake and exhaust work could easily bring this engine up to 300hp without breaking a sweat.

Stop contradicting yourself. You list the MS3 with your EVO/STi choices but now the ST looks like a wagon, which would make the MS3 wagon-like as well.... so what is it?

If the terminology EcoBoost bothers you, you might prefer what we in Europe call this engine 2.0l SCTi (turbo charged in case you did not know) 247hp and 266lbft torque, does that take care of your green tree-hugging fears.
Before slagging the Focus ST give it a test drive 1st before getting your knickers in a knot. Current Focus ST gets big time respect from pretty credible reviewers like the Top Gear gang and most other euro auto journalists.

Now, now don't discredit these previous two wonderful machines.

I think he was speaking as if there is currently RS models on the market.

There is, and there are.... but used.

I predict a larger level of aftermarket support for the 2012 ST and it's relatives in different trim packages. For a decent amount of money (less than the cost of applying forced induction to a SVT) you too could have your own rally car and still have a functional interior to tote your four best fanboy friends!
