Every auto show that comes and passes I hope Ford finally gives us something. A configurator? Pricing estimates? A damn release date? Anything!
Instead, Ford sets up a booth, says "look everyone, it's shiny!" they even stopped using it as their profile pic on Facebook.
I'm starting to think the next announcement will be "lol April fools". Of course, days later than April Fools, since Ford has been terrible with deadlines. Ha.

Agreed. A minute hint of camaro in the front, the same stupid dodge kink over the rear wheels.... bland in my opinion.

Apparently Ford was supposed to release more info, including pricing, on April 2nd. The rumor apparently came from leaked internal documents. As I'm sure you've guessed, that didn't happen.
Another delay? Oh boy.

Browsing the Ford ST page on Facebook, I noticed that they plan to allow preorders in spring, still on for the late 2012 release. So, sometime within the next 10 weeks we should be able to preorder it. Unless it gets pushed back again. But let's hope not.

I was at the NY Autoshow and they had two ST's there. On the windshield it said available fall of 2012. The St's were sealed shut but you could look in them. It was weird, one had a 5 speed shifter, and the other had a 6 speed shifter. Other than that they look just like the other pic's that I've seen. CAN'T WAIT TILL FALL OF 2012!!!!!

Finally! Confirmation that "late 2012" does not mean December 31st.

Apparently, dealers are getting information on packages and options. No pricing yet, but it's coming soon.

Some of us elderly folk may need an automatic for everyday driving due to bad knees, arthritis etc. But we are probably still faster than most. I realize that many people don't care about anything or anyone but themselves, but there is more to the world than what you want.

yes, i do.

There is a very long list of cars, even real sports cars that are way faster than a focus ST, that have them. The ST is a hopped-up economy car, why on earth wouldn't they offer an auto?
