The setup looks solid, but how much confidence do you have in the filter itself? Do you need to clean and oil it like you would a K&N? I definitely agree with the price tag, an $80 SRI is a bargain if it works right.

It's not my first Spectre filter. I've had a K&N in the past and I haven't noticed any difference between the two. If u ask me, it's the same thing, one just costs less due to it being from a less reputable brand. Cleans exactly the same way as a K&N, actually I clean mine with the K&N cleaning kit.

just to let you know- you can use the stock MAF tube like this- it comes apart without cutting

I considered using the stock MAF housing, but I didn't feel like it made the SRI look clean enough to satisfy my OCD. Lol.

Great Job on the SRI!
I don't even think the tubing is too unsightly.
ONce the bay is all cleaned up it will look even better!

Thanks. I've already changed the coupler, and it looks much better than before. Engine is still dirty, but once I have time to clean it I'm gonna take care of it.
