The moon is bright as hell, so I went outside and took a 30 second exposure of my car by moonlight. Yes, it looks like daytime, but notice how you can see the stars. Pretty wild!

I tested them out tonight to make sure everything worked, and when I installed the halo/LED plug in BACKWARDS, it resulted in exactly what you described. The halos work, but not the LEDs/eyebrow. On my old set nothing worked if it was installed backwards. SO WEIRD. So my suggestion to you if you know how to remove the headlights, is to just flip the red plug and see if your LEDs/eyebrow magically turn on. Couldn't hurt to try, right?

It's strange, though. The backups I bought have a completely different resistor attached to it. It looks like someone removed the one that came with it, and replaced it with something else. There's tons of dried silicone all over it. Anyways, let me know if the flipping the red plug works!

I have seen a few different examples of these headlights. I was one of the first couple of guys to but them back when I think and we all seemed to have different installs. They keep changing the tabs and resistors every year or couple of months, no idea why lol. But installed correctly you should have all led's, halos, and high beams :).

PS on mine, the rubber weather covers on the back of the assembly started cracking real bad so I just touched em up with some silicone.

Interesting. The weather cover on mine is actually too large to fit underneath the radiator support. Whenever I put the headlight in, it mashes the hell out of the rubber. It's fine by me, though. It actually helps keep it in there.

Note that it may fit normally, but since I have DDM Tuning HIDs in there, a wire has to come out of the bottom, so it doesn't fit perfectly on the back. No problems with water getting in though (not a clue why)!

Yea mine was mashed up too, I didn't mind cause it was just the rubber that was squeezed. I cut a hole in the back and mounted my 55w ddm kit through there and just siliconed the hole around the wires. Mounting the ballasts was so annoying.

Yeah, it took me a while to find a good place for both of mine. That really was the hardest part for me.

I cheated yesterday. i went and looked at some new mazda 3's. Didnt drive anything, but as I got home, my rear passenger window is making a clunk clunk noise when going up (power window) :( maybe because I fondled another car?
