I think the long & short of it is that if you wanted a special car that no one would recognize, you should have bought one.

OBVIOUSLY you can do whatever you want with your car, but trying to pass it off as stealth or ambiguous is really silly in my opinion. Disassembling, filling, shaving, priming, painting, and reassembling the trunk lid just to remove the Ford emblem is a lot of work for a modification with zero substance. I'd suggesting putting your effort elsewhere like a tune or decent suspension setup... You'd enjoy them more and you wouldn't have any reservations about doing them like you are having with this trunk dilemma.
I find that funny because people ask me all the time what kind of car it is when they see my Focus and it has the Ford emblems on it still.

As for the rear badge delete, it is a lot of work, but it looks REALLY clean. Wobb did it to his 08 Coupe. I saw it up at FR13 and it looks amazing.

That's the best part though. With a few mods you can make the car look completely different than stock.

I guess I'll never understand why people buy a car just so they can change the way it looks. If you don't like the way it looks, why would you buy it in the first place?

I can understand things like the 3dcarbon lip kits because you're not really changing the looks, the body kit is designed to blend with the Ford designed lines... But some of those full body kits and ebay headlights/taillights, spoilers, hoodscoops, aftermarket wheels, universal parts like non-functional canards and splitters.... I don't get it and I never will.

You're like the rest of the world then. Many people have the car so why not make it yours. Make it stand out. You're not part of the 1% of the world that does modify there car. I hope you don't like the 3d carbon kit and a stock height car. That looks terrible.

I'm ok with stock height. I never would've lowered mine if it didn't mean improved autocross times.
The most superficial modifications I've done are my custom leather shift boot and brake handle.

In any case, here are a couple more photos I don't believe I've shared yet. From 6/2/13

Body roll!

The GoPro was borrowed so I don't have the videos yet... Hopefully I'll get them soon.
