Well usually you do 4-6... I did 8. My plasti dip I got from dipyourcar.com was really spotty, but that could of been from the cooler weather or not shaken properly. Plus it was my first time doing this haha. With the ses rims like I have are harder to get into the valleys of the spokes and sides so that's why it took 8z plus I really wanted a black look and not a more gray look. I stopped at 8 and picked Up on 2 more coats the next day to see in the sun what I missed. Went to the car wash as well within the same day and with the wheel package nothing affected the plasti dip :).

The cold weather is what caused yours to be spotty. Its like any spray can, there is an optimal temp it is supposed to be used at.

Yeah, the temperature outside was mid 50s-60. I used flood lights in the garage to keep the garage warmer for best performance, but was really pleased on how it came out overall.
