I had the squeaking issue and sprayed it twice since I've owned my car. Goes away but comes back after a few months. I'll try greasing it next time

Because they sprayed them at the factory when assembling the cars but as far as FORD replacement parts they do not have them prepainted. Talked to Steve at tousley ford about it after i thought my local Ford dealer was full of crap lol. Steve confirmed the only way you can get them from FORD is abs black, chrome or primed. same goes for the mirror caps. i also had to order those primed and have them painted.
Its not business savvy for them to mass produce body painted ones because who is to say how many of each they should have made? Its more cost effective for FORD as a company to do it the way they did and just let the cinsumer handle painting it if ever need repair or replacement.

I have only sprayed mine once about 9 months ago and have not had an issue since. For those who dont know what were talking about, When you go over speed bumps in parking lots and hear a squeak noise, do not fear. we all initially thought we had some kind of damage to our suspension or springs or something but it is just the e brake cable sleeve rubbing that little eyelet hole making the squeaking(=

If spray doesnt work for you just get some silicon sealant like whats used in bathrooms (caulking) and put it around the inner part of the ring. Not filling it in lol but just enough so that when the sleeve slides it doesnt contact metal to metal to make the squeaking noise
