Exterior Painting/Mods: Finished Product

So I've finally gotten around to getting access to a digital camera and I have finished
with my exterior painting for the meantime. So here are some pics for your amusement.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. ^__^

Here is a pic of the engine bay. I've painted the strut caps, fuse box cover, battery
cover, air intake, and grille cover silver frost. You can also see that I've taken
out the Resonator and put in a ghetto cold-air intake :o You can also see
that I've altered the badging to my liking :)

Here is a side pic of my clear corners and clear grille piece.

Here is a frontal pic. You can see the clear lights pretty good from here. You can also
see the wipers that are painted in silver frost and my shorty antenna.

This is just another angle for the front portion of the car.

Front pic with the lights on is shown here.

Here is a nice little pic of the rear. You can see that I've painted the trunk handle,
key surround, and I have debadged it. Also, my clear taillights are shown.
I don't really have any love for Altezza's personally, but these particular
lights caught my eye.

Here is a closer pic of my shorty antenna. I've also painted the base for the
antenna in silver frost.

This is a pretty good pic of my billet fuel door from the side view.

This is a decent pic of the wipers which are painted in silver frost.

That was basically all I have painted thus far on the exterior. My next goal is to
either paint or purchase some SVT door handles, paint the two front grilles, and
either buy some side mirrors /w turn signals or paint my current mirrors..
What I'm shooting for is a pretty sleek silver look all around.

The only real problem I had was painting the rear key-hole surround. Because
it is a rubber piece, the paint didn't really want to stick to the rubber very well.
So I'm going to try and put down a primer for it first. Which is really what I
should have done in the first place.

Cheers!

Thanks frush. I have been thinking about getting tint for quite some time now
and I was looking into getting something a bit customized. I would like to get
a chrome tinted dragon graphic going across all of the windows with joining tails
in the back window. Then I'd have some 30% black tint all around to go over that.
So the finished product would look like a chrome dragon with a black tinted
background. It could look pretty sweet, or it could ruin the whole look for the
car. But I'm willing to do something a little different than the traditional
straight tint look.

I found the strut caps off of eBay for $5.95, they come in black though. The seller
that I received them from was upper_bound. Usually, they have their item title as:

Next weekend I'm going to paint the two front grilles in silver frost, as soon as I get pictures of that taken, I'll definentaly post some pics of that. Also in about two weeks I'll be getting SVT door handles, just for the sake of the color being the exact match to the rest of the exterior because I think that the handles are going to stick out a lot.

As for the mirrors... (As you are looking at the front of the car) should I just accent the circular black piece silver, or paint the entire assembly? Any thoughts would be great. kthx

thanks cka... if you were in the iowa area, I'd be more than happy to help you out with your mods :o

By the way, if anyone ever wants to paint the rubber trim piece for the rear keyhole, be sure to prime it really good beforehand... I just redid that piece with primer and it helped out a hell of a lot when reinstalling it. kthx bai
