So this is a size filter that only Wix makes? And if we can't find the filter at a parts store locally, we have to order our oil filters online?

When I had an 07 Fusion, one used to be able to purchase the spin-on conversion kit + gasket for ~$45. That was new OEM parts, no exchange. Now it appears to be 60-$80:(.

Can you give us the Wix part number? I'd like to see if it cross references with a filter brand I'm using.

Sorry I promised those guys I wouldn't give out that part number because it took them a long time to locate the right size filter.

Hmmm, okay. I don't quite understand as it's really the adapter that they are selling but I guess there is something proprietary that could be taken from their work and research if the filter is known?

I've been running a microgreen filter that has an intriguing bypass element. I've sent off for particle analysis after an oil change as I wasn't sure it really worked or was just a marketing ploy but the analysis came out with outstanding results for the filter after 12k miles of use.

I like the idea of this adapter allowing for a larger filter while not extending the length where it could be damaged BUT I'm hesitant to buy this adapter if the filter I'm using doesn't have a size comparable to the WIX.

I'm pretty sure if you give them a call, they can give you the measurements to the Wix oil filter. This way you can find a comparable Microgreen.
