does it have to be the J&S?

Just wondering, can we use another knock sensor? MSD makes one and a few other companies do as well, just wondering if you will tune an SVT for boost w/ one of the other ones.

Yes there are many othere , the big issue is that the stock sensor is to sensitive and the J&S has to be set to half to cure this , I spent a lot of time on the dyno to come up with this safe setting and would need to do the same to get another devise to do the knock controle safely

another question, if you did the VCT delete kit on the svt, do yo u still need the J&S? i thought the J&S was cause of the VCT, but i dunno, once again, just curious!

i would assume so. pretty much the only purpose the VCT serves is to keep the SVT from having a harsh lopey idle due to the aggressive cams it has right? maybe i should be ignored. i just popped an ambien a little bit ago so i can sleep today and its just now starting to hit me lol

i dunno, i thought it had something to do w/ VCT, if the head doesn't have VCT, then its essentually an overglorified zetec head which doesn't use VCT. and it can be tuned even w/ compression higher than the SVT and no J&S.
