Ether way it's a good time for performance lovers out there. Ford is offereing good product with almost ever car range. You want a performance sedan you got a SHO, you want a truck SVT raptor, you want a hot hatch you get the soon be released "new focus". It's a great time to be alive. It'll be even better in a few years when the cars hit the used car lots!! I just hope ford doesn't make it the car un moddable

It's a global version. So it is the US version. They are all the same now which pretty much means we're getting this and Ford's already basically said we're getting it in the tons of articles about ecoboost and the focus. Don't know why people are so pessimistic.

Well...10 years of getting it where the sun don't shine, sort of does that to people.

Could have something to do with the below quote, from the linked article:

"Ford acknowledged that it was developing a "global" performance version of the new Focus, but never said explicitly that it would be offered in North America."

Couldn't care less about the NA Mustang. No performance platform other than the 'stang for NA, no dollars flying out of my wallet to Ford. Pretty simple.

if we find out soon if we would get an st model pushing over atleast 200hp i would really consider on not modding my car. pay it off early and buy one next year. but i need more than just hype

Mark from Ford said at the FR10 Banquet that the ST would be 250HP+

I'm definitely jumping on this as well.

My wife and I have talked about trading in our 08 Ford Edge for the New Edge and then I will buy another daily for me.

I believe this new Focus will be it. I'm all giggly now. Can't wait til mid to end of 2011 now.
