Long Tube Header Question Anyone like the Focus Central Long Tube Race Headers?
i am looking for some good headers. so far i have a cold air intake and a 75 NX nitrous shot.
Does anyone have the focus central one?(claims 10 hp on stock car) i would also like to get a cat back exhaust (probably focus sport b/c they got rated the best) does the exhaust come right from the headers? do i need a flex pipe? wat is a flex pipe? does the cat converter get removed? i want to produce the most power, no cares about noise level or emissions ~thanx for ur advice |

the flex pipe is just alittle piece inbetween. its good to have if u have header and catback. the race header does take away the cat. you will have to worry about emission. watch out what exhaust u get with a race header or a shorty header and high flow cat. your exhaust will turn into a ricer. If u get a f/s it will stay quiet and sould sick, same with an apexi and hks.

Get the Focus Central race header. Then a 2.25 flex. Focus Sport stealth exhaust. Then you should be set.

Here's what your exhaust system looks like from the header back. This is from the catback install How-To on myFordFocus.com, http://www.myfordfocus.com/how-to/cat-back.htm As cog200 a race header eliminates the catalytic converter. You will either keep your stock flexpipe, or replace it with an aftermarket flexpipe. Focus Central, Focus Sport and Trubendz each make flexpipes in 2.25" and/or 2.5" tubing, actually FC only makes a 2.25". BTW, FREE S&H on the Focus Central race header and flexpipe on myFordPerformance.com

if you plan on going with a race header, the flex pipe will then be the largest constriction in the exhaust system (since the cat is now gone). So, you should look at replacing it as well down the line.

Go with the FC header, get a stainless steel flexpipe, and the FS cat-back and your done with your exhaust system.

I have a FC race header with a Magnaflow cat back and it rocks. Soon to have FC flex pipe. Wourth the money i would say.
