Rota slipstreams seem to be a dime a dozen and about 13lbs each, so that might be a good place to start looking.

Are you looking for DD wheels are dedicated autox wheel/tire combo?

My recommendation:
Pick your class, pick the best tire for the widest wheel you can afford for that class.

Rota 15x7.5s are a good option for ST and don't require fender hacking.

How about the Bassett Legends? Those come in 15x8, 17lbs., and you can get a set shipped for $376 (well, to my zipcode anyway)

Really--instead of ST, the Focus would be a better STX car if you go full-out to the rules.

The LSD and the ability to run wider wheels and tires help a heavy-ish car. I think a fully prepped 2.3 in STX could make some noise...as could a SVT.

The top STX cars are really no faster than the top ST cars Nationally--and there is no doubt that an STX Focus would beat an ST Focus if both were at max-prep...so even if you look at overall/PAX finishes--STX is a better choice.

Erik, I think you need to build a 2.3 focus into an STX car;P

Maybe next year. That looks pretty competitive, and my car still has to be a dd for now. I've been itching to build a FR car, maybe a 325is or a 944.
Either way I think I can beat up on the novice class this season with the car in stock trim. I weighed my car at work yesterday and it's @ 2750 soaking wet.

Novice class is nice, in my club once you win Novice once, you're not allowed to run in it anymore though. I started out in FSP though... :/
