ive used nitrous on another vehicle before but yeah this was my first time in this car to go to the track

i'd just do what you said, practice the launches...safely obviously... you'll get yourself dialed in.

I had my stock zx3 to 15.6 @ 86(with drag radials 2.2 60ft)
When i launch i hold my ebrake and slip the clutch so everything is preloaded then when the light is on the last amber drop the ebrake slip out of the clutch fully and roll into the gas at the same time. as far as what rpm to slip u have to figure that part out ur self. u dont want to roast the tires but u dont want to bog either. and dont to crazy burnouts either. just a quick spin to clean the tires (if u run street tires). Also depends alot on where the track is and weather.
