I suggest learning on your own with our help on the forum. Having someone help you is nice, but if they are a lot more experienced, it's a lot harder to learn/understand what they are doing because you won't be learning together.
Just need some basic tools, jack, jack stands and you can do it all on your own. If you search for a lot of the build threads in here (like mine) you will see everything you need and get a feel for what needs to be done.
