Everyone says they are bad but no one tries them.

There is a guy rolling around here who has had an ebay turbo kit on his car for almost a year with no problems what so ever.

THe piping is fine, the manifold is fine, may crack eventually, the turbo, some people say will fall apart, I have yet to see that happen.

Just my worthless 2 cents.

And I almost was finished with my kist and would have spent 1875 bucks with out tuning. It all comes down to how you shop.

You were getting some major budget parts, though...

Like I said, I would get one if I had a car that I didn't mind having some downtime in case things started breaking. The OBX log manifold and downpipe combo is only $350. That's damn hard to beat when you can pair it up with a $150 t3/t4. Maybe I can convince my fiance to let me put it on her Focus, haha.

It all comes down to the quality of the parts you want to get and the numbers you want. An old DSM turbo isn't the same as a new Garrett or Comp turbo. Also I think you were gonna make your own manifold weren't you?

I'll rephrase it.

"For a good quality build with new(er) quality parts to put down good numbers you'll have to spend $4000-$6000."

I have a few customers with them , in the end they have spent as much on getting them to work as just buying my DIY kit and they all have said that to me

I have the obx manifold,
works great with a t3/t4 borg warner turbo, the downpipe hung a little low but my buddy fixed it by cutting a notch out and then bending it by hand and welded the notch together. Rather easy work. It hasnt cracked yet....

Just depends i guesss,

Yeah, I figured the combo wouldn't fit perfectly. If you just have to change the downpipe a little that's pretty sweet. Oh well, I already have all my parts.
