Anyone purchase Ebay Turbo Kit?

I was thinking about getting one of the Turbo Kits off Ebay for my SVT, I notice first it doesnt come with a manifold. So besides a manifold anyone know waht it takes to get the thing working? Also do they work? Im not looking for a huge boost in power and may upgarde it later. I have the money to buy a nice kit, but really just want more power for for my everyday drive.

I can't recommend an eBay kit with a good conscience.

The only time I would get an eBay kit is if I had a car I didn't care about and had extra money laying around. OBX sells a manifold and downpipe set, but who knows what the quality is like.

Get a quality kit if you are going to bother. It will save you some trouble.

^^If you don't know much about turbo's then you should do more research. From what I gather from your post you should look more into a supercharger. They are more into your price range and will give you the boost in Daily performance that you are looking for with out much trouble. Seems like the easiest solution with out having to custom fab parts to make a "ebay kit" work.

2k? Not even gonna come close.

You can buy a used Jackson Racing supercharger for that price...

dont do it. Your going to get what you pay for.....and thats a crap turbo kit. Spend the cash for a quality kit or do the supercharger route.

Ebay Turbo kits are bad news...don't even consider it.

For a good quality turbo build you're going to need anywhere from $4000 to $6000 or more if you want depending on how much you wanna do.

Ebay turbo kits are not a good idea. You'll end up spending a lot more money on items that are just universal crap in the kit, and on the crap that breaks cause its not quality items. I would suggest keeping an eye out for a kit in the buy and sell section or just piece your own together, but I would suggest you do some research first and then make your decision.
