Mirrors, doors, and body lines past the finder all seem the same to me.

Would need a pair of fenders, a hood, headlights and a bumper from the second car. But IMO it def looks like you could pull it of with little effort.

That's exactly what I was thinking but I'm just not sure if the bolt holes etc for the fenders would line up as well as other minor details as such.
If it's just the panels that need changing then I'd definitely give it a try but I don't want to buy all that and find out it doesn't fit. (I'm cheap)

Anyone actually shed some light onto this?

All you would need is a drill, if you need a couple holes adjusted. And maybe like a dremel to take something back a tad if it was in the way.

I really don't think it would be too pricey.

Honestly? I vote do it. Be a pioneer man. Be the guy who swapped fronts, the first. In a great cause.

I feel the darkside pulling, I may have to do it.
Time to check ebay for panels.

I highly doubt any of the internals changed. It should be a straight swap, looking at the pics at least. The other thing you may have to swap is the washer tank, that is if its a different shape.

Hmmm washer tank, didn't think of that.
What about the new lights cus I did some image comparison and it seems like the centre screw point is positioned slightly differently to the old one. It may just be that the new lights protude further back hence the plastic mount is shorter.

OLD

NEW

Not sure if you can see what I'm talking about.

Ha!

You may have forgotten me but while I was away I actually did it.

PRE-OP

FINISHED sort of

Problems I got now are:

Bonnet won't open
Loads of gaps as panels wont line up properly
