Can someone help me out in obtaining one of these bushings? Can't seem to find Steve's contact info anymore.

Here is his email: spowell@tasca.com and the Tasca dedicated forum number:
1-800-598-1484. Just call and ask for Steve. You can also google "Steve@Tasca" and his info should come up. Hope this helps.

I did this as well after my clutch/flywheel install. Picked up an extra bushing a friend had after he did his SVT, he got them directly from Steve. Great mod and well worth it. Thanks!

JB isn't gonna help that. The pin has to rotate in the bushing. Might have to cut off pin/ drill, insert and weld a metal pin. How in the hell does something like that happen I wonder?

So after my last post I found my bushing in the mailbox from Steve. Went out and installed it. Holy (insert Ricky Bobby baby Jesus comment)! I have been driving this car since mid-August and knew there was some slop in the shifter (hence the reason I replaced the shifter with STS from Steeda) but I had no idea it was that bad. When I pulled old insert it was worn through to the point that the pin was making contact with the slot it slides in. Luckily my pin only had minor flat spots. After re-assembly I took car for a test drive and promptly shifted from 2nd to 5th. Amazing improvement. I went from almost an inch of side slop to a quarter inch or less. I plan on modding the shifter much like WordyaHurd did to tighten it up further. If you have been putting this off its a 30 minute mod that can save your bracket and shift fork in your tranny. Do it now or regret it later.

Does anyone have the dimensions for the square shifter bushing on the trans side that fits in the shift trough? I would like to try and make one, rather than buy one, because its winter and I have nothing better to do....

The bushing is 9mm (well, 8.90mm according to the beginning of this post but 9mm according to my precision ruler) and the hole itself is 7mm. Hope this helps. I can appreciate wanting to make one yourself but its cheap enough from Steve at Tasca (18 bucks shipped) that you can't go wrong for ease compared to making one. Best of luck either way.

I want to try out a few different plastic (nylon, delrin) and see what my results are. More of a boredom thing.

Thanks for the measurements. I know I had read them somewhere but looked and couldn't find the thread again.

You have IM by the way
