If it was more in the 350 range or so i would be ALL over it. Too bad carbon fiber is way to pricey =[.

I really don't like unpainted carbon fiber hoods/trunks. It's possible to paint carbon fiber, lots of people have done it. I personally think having bare carbon fiber for the sake of letting everyone know you have carbon fiber is rice. Paint it, you're the only one who has to know how light you are.

Raw carbon is sexy, look at all the super cars sporting it.

It' not rice, ricers can't afford carbon =]

What super cars have a plain carbon trunk besides the Pagani Zonda roadster, which is all carbon? Ferrari has carbon fiber bodies, but guess what, they're painted. You're not going to find a super car with a painted body except for a carbon fiber hood and trunk.

Are you serious right now, ricers can't afford carbon fiber? You have obviously never been to southern California.

Not trying to thread jack, just trying to make sure the Focus community doesn't turn the car into the "American Ricer" that many people consider it to be.

Honestly the last two i don't consider rice. They are very cleanly put together. rice is poor modifications, which neither seem to have done. Just my views though.

As for raw carbon? Take a look at the ZR1, it has a ton of visible raw carbon. It's awesome.

I'd partially paint the hood and trunk lid, leaving fat stripes in CF

That last picture is the definition of rice. Look at those taillights, and the bumper is hideous.

My point about plain carbon fiber is about a hood or trunk, since this thread is about a cf trunk. I have no problem with the pillars and splitter of the ZR1 being carbon fiber. But think about it, those cars go ridiculously fast, and have small amounts of bare carbon fiber showing. You should not have more square inches of bare carbon fiber showing than you have horsepower...

...that's a pretty good rule of thumb now that I think about it.

We just test fitted a carbon fiber hood on a member's 08 sedan yesterday. Our carbon fiber hood actually fit BETTER than his OE hood. We adjusted his hood latch when we reinstalled his OE hood and it fit just the same as the carbon fiber.

Anything far from factory can be rice.

The reason you do not choose to nail most of them is because almost all cars here are Foci. I have seen cleaner hondas then i have seen foci most times.

The SAP front looks very ricey, don't see you hating on that. That bumper is really not too over the top, and the paint is amazing.

BTW alot of people would consider the F2 Front bumper rice ; }
I REALLY hate people like you who see a bumper that isn't OEM and tails that YOU don't agree with, and call them rice.

Grow up man, that car is way cleaner, and has way more done to it then most here probably. Stop throwing the rice card, and just move on.
